Wuzutech Happy Birdy - Mounting Instructions

Last Updated Mar 03, 2025

Before you start, fully charge the Happy Birdy camera using the provided USB-C cable. This ensures it's ready to go once installed.

1. Choose your Mounting Location

  • Prioritize a spot with plenty of direct sunlight, especially for the solar roof to function effectively. South-facing locations are ideal.
  • Make sure the feeder is within range of your home's Wi-Fi network for seamless connectivity to the Happy Birdy app. Remember, your feeder requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection to function correctly.
  • Choose a location that's visible to you but also offers some protection from predators and harsh weather.

2. Mounting Options

  • Wall Mounting. Happy Birdy comes with a universal bracket and metal screws to mount it on a wall or fence.
  • Tree Mounting. You can also mount Happy Birdy on a tree using the included strapping belt and bracket.
  • Pole Mounting. You can use an existing pole or install one. This gives you flexibility in height and placement.
  • Hanging. Use a metal hanger to hang the Happy Birdy from a tree branch, hook, or other sturdy structure.

3. Instructions

  • Put together the feeder components according to the instruction manual.
  • Depending on your chosen method, attach the appropriate mounting hardware (bracket, strap, etc.) to the feeder.
  • Mount the feeder to the chosen location (pole, tree, wall) using the provided hardware. Make sure it's stable and secure.
  • Angle the solar panel to optimize sun exposure, usually facing south for maximum efficiency.
  • Add birdseed to the feeder.
  • Watch the birds flock to your new solar-powered feeder.

4. Maintenance Tips and Precautions

  • Always follow the specific instructions that come with your Wuzutech Happy Birdy.
  • Have the necessary tools handy, such as a screwdriver, drill (if needed), and possibly a ladder.
  • Be cautious when working at heights or using tools.
  • Clean the feeder regularly to prevent the spread of diseases among birds.
